SENSE ENGINE ARCHITECTURE · E-E-A-T VERIFICATION
How RepoSense Verifies Release Telemetry, Bundle Impact, and Stack Compatibility
RepoSense is built on a deterministic verification pipeline designed for principal engineers and autonomous AI coding agents. Every release card, Daily Cortex brief, and /llm.txt document follows four verifiable engineering stages.
01 · INGESTION PIPELINE
Official GitHub .atom Release Polling & Conditional ETag Guard
Every tracked repository is polled directly from its canonical GitHub releases.atom feed using HTTP If-None-Match ETag headers, consuming zero LLM tokens on 304 Not Modified responses.
- RepoSense tracks canonical open-source repositories across JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, Rust build tools, styling primitives, state libraries, and AI SDKs.
- Instead of scraping noisy commit logs or social feeds, the ingestion pipeline polls each repository's official https://github.com/{owner}/{repo}/releases.atom endpoint.
- Conditional ETag and Last-Modified headers short-circuit unchanged feeds with HTTP 304 Not Modified in under 120ms, ensuring only newly published tag entries trigger synthesis.
02 · SAFETY OVERRIDES
Deterministic Pre-Release Overrides & 120-Character Structured Synthesis
Every release is distilled strictly into [Core Change] + [Required Action] + [Migration Effort], with deterministic regex and semver guards overriding LLM hallucinations.
- Stage 1 summaries are constrained to a maximum of 120 characters and structured as [Core Change] + [Required Action] + [Migration Effort] so engineers can triage upgrades in seconds.
- Before persisting any synthesis, deterministic post-processing inspects the version tag and raw changelog for CVE/GHSA identifiers, breaking API removals, and pre-release qualifiers (-rc, -beta, -alpha, -canary, -next).
- Pre-release builds are automatically downgraded from COMPATIBLE to WARNING and annotated with staging-only guidance, preventing premature production upgrades.
03 · ARTIFACT TELEMETRY
Measured min+gzip Bundle Deltas & Anomaly Sanitization
Package registry bindings map each repository to its published npm, crate, or PyPI artifact to compute byte-level min+gzip deltas between consecutive versions.
- RepoSense resolves each repository's primary package binding (such as vercel/next.js to next or vuejs/core to vue) and compares previousBytes against currentBytes.
- Deltas are formatted with explicit byte and percentage shifts (for example, -5 kB (-5.0%) min+gzip) so frontend and edge engineers can spot bundle regressions immediately.
- When a release represents a CLI binary, server-only runtime, or unmeasured artifact where byte telemetry is zero or unavailable, the anomaly sanitizer explicitly labels it Size Unavailable rather than displaying misleading 0 B (0.0%) numbers.
04 · RELATIONAL GRAPH
Relational TagEdge Compatibility Matrix & Remediation Commands
PostgreSQL TagEdge assertions model BREAKS_WITH, COMPATIBLE_WITH, and PEER_DEPENDENCY_OF relationships across the stack with copy-paste CLI resolution commands.
- Each repository is linked to normalized TagNode entities (such as React 19, Tailwind v4, Vite 6, or MCP) via weighted relational edges in PostgreSQL.
- When a major release introduces peer-dependency shifts or configuration migrations (such as Tailwind v4 CSS @theme blocks impacting shadcn/ui), RepoSense surfaces verified BREAKS_WITH alerts.
- Every compatibility conflict includes a concrete, copy-pasteable CLI remediation snippet so engineering teams and AI coding agents can resolve version mismatches deterministically.
